Contrary to popular belief, raw goat's milk is not gross or "goaty" tasting. When handled properly it tastes like a creamy, sweet cows milk...my kids won't even drink cow milk anymore!
A herd share is the only way to obtain raw milk in Michigan.
I own a herd of Dairy goats, and operate a small herdshare program. You can lease a goat from me, then me for boarding it, and in return you can pick up one gallon of fresh milk weekly. There is a one time $25 lease fee that is good for a 6 month lease, then a $5 weekly boarding fee. You do not pay anything for the milk, as it comes from the goat you are leasing so it belongs to you :-)
