I have a flock of chickens that are raised the way my grandparents did it. The have a coop, an outside area to scratch around in, there is oyster shell and I feed a ground layer mix.
I have two roosters along with some twenty to thirty hens.
I don't use any unnecessary chemicals, or routine antibiotics. If she gets sick, I will treat her, but only then.
I pick up the eggs at least twice a day depending on the season.
I have white, brown and green colored eggs. The color of the shell is just the color of the shell, it is still just a chicken egg when you break it open.
I also will sell two year old hens for soup chickens if you are ever interested.
