Our goal is to make it easy for everyone to quickly find fresh, locally grown foods and other cottage industry made items. WHY PLENTY LEFT?
The original concept for Plenty Left was to develop a meat directory to help the public find and purchase bulk meats from producers. Our primary goal was to simply help people save money by purchasing large portions of meat all at once; soon after, the idea was expanded to virtually all food products and homemade goods.
The name Plenty Left spawned from the many roadside fruit and vegetable stands seen in the late Summer and Fall in the front yards of gardeners and small farms. It seems that every year, there is always “plenty left” and a large portion of the produce grown and displayed on these stands goes to waste. With Plenty Left, farmers and gardeners now have a means to promote their harvest beyond a roadside stand or local farmers market. Even if there is still “plenty left,” food and other items can be listed for donation in our Donations and Fundraisers section.

Everyone! Whether you have a small garden, a cattle ranch, family farm or are a restaurant in search of fresh locally grown produce, there’s something for everyone on Plenty Left!
WHY IT’S FREE!
Because we like you! We know food has become very expensive in recent years, and grocery store prices on many goods have skyrocketed. Plenty Left makes it easy for buyers to find local producers, who often sell goods far below the pricing seen at many grocery stores. In addition to finding items that are priced lower, buyers can also find higher quality meats and produce in our marketplace that may not be found in the local grocery store.
WHY ARE THERE TOP ADS?
Top Ads are for those wanting their ad to appear at the top of a particular category for a time period of either 30 or 60 days. These ads have a higher visibility and are likely to get more response from buyers browsing through the site. At this time, Top Ads are the only ads that are not free – we plan on always having free basic listings.

OUR VERY SHORT HISTORY:
February 2011 – A promotional flyer promoting a local meat directory is made, and is circulated amongst local bulletin boards.
May 2011 – The idea for PlentyLeft.com is born, and we decide to organize an easy to use directory for all locally grown food and handmade products online.
August 2011 – PlentyLeft.com is launched.
